We’ve had a great day here at Broad Gate raising money for Comic Relief! We have held a bake sale and raffle and we can’t thank our occupiers enough for their support and generosity. Special thanks go to Shaun Barker at LifeSearch and The Gym Group for their amazing raffle prizes of a “Try Scuba Dive” and a year free gym membership!!
Star Baker award went to Stef, who manages our Costa Coffee Pod, who made some incredible looking and tasting chocolate brownie cakes! (Pictured below)
Sainsbury’s came in to sell Red Nose Day merchandise including red noses and wrist bands as well as donating a store voucher for the raffle and we also had some staff members in from our retail unit TKMAXX shaking their buckets! Also a big thank you to our newest retail unit, HomeSense, for donating a £50 voucher to spend in store! It’s great to all pull together as a building and fundraise for this fantastic cause!
Comic Relief is an operating British charity, founded in 1985 by the comedy scriptwriter Richard Curtis and comedian Lenny Henry in response to famine in Ethiopia. The highlight of Comic Relief’s appeal is Red Nose Day, a biennial telethon held in March, alternating with sister project Sport Relief. To find out more about their fantastic fundraising, visit their website!
Now for the grand total…
